About TAF

We are dedicated to combating Hypertension

Hypertension... a condition where the force of blood against the artery walls is consistently too high. It's often referred to as the "silent killer" because it usually has no symptoms.

Our Mission

To significantly reduce the prevalence of hypertension by 20% among vulnerable populations within the next 5 years, through targeted education, advocacy, and community-based programs, improving overall health and well-being.

Our Vision

A world free from the devastating impact of hypertension, where every individual has access to the knowledge, resources, and support needed to manage their heart health, thrive in optimal wellness, and live a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.

The background story and inspiration!

Background and evolution of the foundation

Tope Adeboyejo was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend who brought joy and warmth to everyone around her. Her life was filled with laughter, kindness, and love, making her a beloved figure in her community. But in an instant, tragedy struck, leaving a gaping hole in the lives of her family, friends, and church community. On a day that began like any other, hypertension, a silent and deadly condition, took her life, causing unbearable pain and grief.

The ache of her absence still hurts, a reminder of the fragility of life and the devastating consequences of a condition often overlooked. Yet, from the depths of sorrow, a resolve emerged: to honour Tope's memory by protecting the lives of others. Thus, the Tope Adeboyejo Foundation was born.

We believe every life is precious, every heartbeat worthy of protection. Tope's story is a heartbreaking reminder that hypertension can strike without warning, taking loved ones from our lives.
